J’ai cousu laborieusement un drapeau

Et j’ai fait flotter bien haut le drapeau

Pour toi

Palestine

 

J’ai cherché les slogans

Et j’ai porté les banderoles

Pour toi

Palestine

 

J’ai manifesté dans une ville de France

En murmurant, en hurlant

"Palestine vivra, Palestine vaincra"

Pour toi

Palestine.

 

Et puis je suis rentrée chez moi, fatiguée, désespérée

Car les passants n’ont rien écouté

Car les militants se sont engueulés

Car tes enfants toujours agonisent

Car tes enfants toujours sont prisonniers

Car tes enfants naissent et meurent aux check points

 Palestine

 

Et puis j’ai ouvert le grand Atlas du monde entier

Et je t’ai cherchée

Mais je ne t’ai pas trouvée

Palestine.
